What is an ebook?
Also known as electronic books, eBooks are digital versions of books that can be read on specialised e-reader devices such as the Amazon Kindle or Sony reader, mobile handheld devices (like the Apple iPad, iPhone and smartphones), tablets and laptops, personal computers, and some smartphones.
If you have an e-reader device, it provides all of the necessary software and functions to read an ebook. Other devices (including tablets, PCs and mobile handheld devices) may also be able to read ebooks but may require e-reader software be installed first.
What is epub and mobi?
epub and mobi are the two main ebook formats that define how a book is stored as an electronic book. Your ebook reader will usually support one of these formats.
- mobi : is supported by the Amazon Kindle or Palm Pilot.
- epub : is supported by most other products including Apple products (such as the iPad and iPhone) and SONY Reader. epub is also supported on Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac computers using ebook software.
All of our ebooks are generally available in both formats.
What is DRM (Digital Rights Management)?

How do I buy a book?
Firstly you will need to know which ebook format your ebook reader supports, either epub or mobi. Refer to your ebook reader manual for more information. Also refer to the General Help section for more information on epub and mobi formats. You can also download and try our free ebooks to check which format is right for your reader.
When viewing a list of books or a single book, click on the "[add to cart]" link which will place the selected book (in the epub or mobi format) in your cart. You can add as many books to your cart as you like by clicking the "[add to cart]"link for other books.
Once you have at least one book in your cart, you can view the contents of your cart by clicking on the "view cart »" link at the top of the book menu (near the top left corner of the page).
While viewing the contents of your cart, you may choose to remove books that you do not wish to purchase. Once satisfied with the book selection you can then click the "Proceed To Payment" button to purchase your books. You will be provided with an order reference number and can then continue and pay for the books. Payment is processed by Paypal, so payment is made by clicking on the "Go to Paypal" button. You will be directed to the Paypal website where you can pay for your purchase using credit card. Note:You do not have to be a member of paypal to make your payment.
Paying for your books
We use Paypal to process purchases. You can pay for your purchases using an already existing Paypal account, or by entering your credit card details without having a Paypal account. Once payment has been processed, Paypal will direct you back to this site where you will be able to download your purchased ebooks. Paypal sends a payment receipt to your nominated email address which includes an 'Invoice Id' which is our reference number relating to your purchase.
What happens once I have paid for my books?
Once you have paid for your books, you will be directed to a 'Payment Complete' page. At the same time Paypal sends a confirmation to us to advise that your payment has been processed. Once we receive this confirmation (which Paypal usually sends before directing you back to our site);-
- the books will be emailed to your nominated email address, and
- you will see the list of your purchased books that you can download from our site immediately.
If we do not receive the payment confirmation from paypal immediately you will see a "Check Payment" button which will check for the payment notification from Paypal. After we have received this confirmation you will see the books to download.

eBook Reader Help
Do I need special software to install eBooks?
For your ebook reader you will not need any special software other than the software which accompanies your ebook reader. In most cases you can simply attach your ebook reader to your computer using a USB cable and copy the files onto your reader.
For other devices you will need e-reader software to view the ebook. You do not need to have an Adobe ID or have Adobe Digital Editions or other software installed on your computer as all of our ebook files do not contain Digital Rights Management (DRM).
